Beautiful Kuhlohorn made by the brothers Gegenfurtner from Weiden, Germany.
This rare piece is made of gold brass, which is very unusual. What’s also unusual is the large shape of the instrument and the big mouthpiece shank it takes.
The valves and slides are easily moveable. The instrument has good compression.
The sound is very warm, softer than a regular flugelhorn or kuhlohorn.

Dieses seltene Stück ist aus Goldmessing gefertigt, was sehr ungewöhnlich ist. Ungewöhnlich ist auch die große Form des Instruments und der große Mundstückschaft, den es hat.
Die Ventile und Züge sind leicht beweglich. Das Instrument hat eine gute Kompression.
Der Klang ist sehr warm, weicher als bei einem normalen Flügelhorn oder Kuhlohorn.
