Our team
The-Brass-Shop has been active since 2021 and has been running by the same persons: Wesley & Patrick.

We live in Winterswijk, the Netherlands and have our own showroom in Aalten. We buy, sell (also on commission) and repair instruments of all ages and all sorts.
Time to introduce ourselves!
I’m Wesley, the son of Patrick. I have been playing french horn since I was 7 years old. By the time I got older I wanted to play other instruments and started learning them by my own. Nowadays I play all brass instruments.
Brass instrument history fascinates me. I love to play and restore vintage and antique brass instruments. As can be seen on the site, we do have a lot of old instruments that, when maintained properly, can sound very nice. Unusual instruments is what I like, so as this Buescher Jumbo Sousaphone on the right.
You may recognized already, but I’m responsible for making a sound-example for each instrument on our website. This way you can see and hear the sound of the instrument. I also manage the website and sometimes I help my father with smaller repairs.

I’m Patrick, Wesley’s father. Although I am not a musician, musical instruments have always fascinated me. Mainly the craft and technique behind them attracts me.
I am responsible for repairing and preparing the instruments for sale. Every instrument brings a new challenge. I like to take those with both hands.
From cornet to sousaphone, trombone to horn, every instrument that leaves us has been checked as carefully as possible.
